For me the real win would be one-way rides. Look at Car2Go… point to point trips for 35 cents a minute. It’s awesome. I could see myself using a scooter similarly.

Helmets are definitely required and easily managed during our early growth with partner organizations. We are working on a number of elegant solutions for providing safe, cootie-free helmets when the system opens to the public.

We have assumed so far that they wouldn’t and have had conversations that bare that out. In short, as Katie said, the use case is very different. I am a Zipcar member myself and find the services highly complementary. Car sharing is huge opportunity that Zipcar has just begun to capture. Diverting capital, effort, and real estate to experimenting with scooters wouldn’t make sense unless they thought it was a much bigger, more profitable business.
