I think the combination of SeaMicro’s fabric chip combined with an ARM chip would be a very lower power server, one I hope we see soon. AMD seems open to developing this kind of combination, though currently its only speaking in terms of licensing SeaMicro tech to OEMs. Though I wouldn’t be shocked if it picks up an ARM license soon.

I hope AMD has realized this, because HP and IBM have, and they are both working on ARM servers. Nvidia is also working on their Project Denver chip for servers based on ARM.
