They have created a custom Android distribution and have a micro app store due to launch any day which has numerous apps I have been testing for about a week now and its impressive, but the battery sucks and unfortunately its cannot pair with my iPhone.

Although i have the original Liveview which paired nicely with my Xperia Play im a bit of a fitness fanatic and went with the Motoactv which is a bit more independant if needed. It can still do notifications/missed calls etc. Ill be getting the smart watch on day one because im a sucker for gadgets especially Sony Ones and i suppose it will pair nicely with the Xperia S!!

Repeating my usual message around this market ... the smaller it is - the more dominant it should be at the "center" of our mobile device eco-system

Much like the smartphone today provides through 3G, the connectivity for our wifi tablets, watches need to be the source of the connectivity in the end game. Then we can pass on cellphones if we want and jump to tablets. or any other combination.

I have patience, I know it will get there eventually. There also very cool ideas how to talk with a watch on your wrist.

I'm starting to think Google needs to officially address this market (smart watches) in Android. They need to make a stock UI for it, the necessary software optimizations, and feature smartwatch apps in the Android Market.
