While I do like seeing people attacking this problem, I firmly believe it's being attacked from the wrong end. My data should be MY data--I should decide who gets to see what, when, and for how long, based on permissions I give. All data generated about me go into one file--MY file, kept under MY control; those who generate data get continuous access to THAT data only, but may have access to other data as assigned me. I am building my own HealthFile by obtaining copies of all data doctors generate about me; any health professional I need to visit may have access to any of my data as I see fit. And this is the goal of VillageStream/MED: Giving those who need to know what they need to know when they need to know it. (Note: VillageStream doesn't exist yet. If you want to help me build it, contact me.)
