I'm enjoying Lilyhammer immensely. Its well written, very well acted and has great production values. On its own its worth the eight dollar per month Netflix fee!

I think it's interesting that Netflix and the bunch are creating original content, the problem is quality. I've watched the pilot of Lilyhammer and it's, in my opinion, not interesting. It doesn't make me want to watch more. That said, the opportunity's there.

eMedia Interactive, an offshoot of founder and CEO Tyrone Wilson of eZines Limited fame, has made history not only in Jamaica but the Caribbean by launching the first Regional IPTV Streaming Platform aptly titled iVu Online Television Network. With US$350,000 of venture capital funding from Pan Caribbean Financial Services, CEO Tyrone Wilson has the support of Corporate Jamaica and has resulted in the resignation of General Manager Kay Osbourne from TVJ. But is this a death knell for free-to-air Television. My article streams the answer.....

That's a good point - but it's also a reason why companies like Netflix invest in original content. Netflix has to strike a deal with studios for every new territory they're going in. But their own content can be distributed pretty much everywhere Netflix is in business. Lilyhammer is available in 46 countries - but of course, you're out of luck if Netflix isn't available where you live

It doesn't matter as these are US service only, it just perpetuates the problem of region locking content. I'll have to look for these shows in the same places I have to get everything else my local broadcasters wont carry.
