An SUV? It always makes you think it defeats the purpose of an EV. It feels Tesla is just throwing it out there to perk interest. The problem is that SUVs are inherently heavy, by definition so the performance would be limited. Even if it was based on the Model S, it would still be a big EV. I’m not a fan of SUV, unless you live in the mountain or need the extra space for commercial reasons. It has little appeal for my needs. I”l wait till we get a roadster again.

Really depends on the range of the car– the SUV conjures up an image of long road trips and tough off-road driving. Get the battery storage right and yes, could be a game changer.

It will provide better cooling unit and passengers will be frozen for the duration of the trip in a cool cryo-chamber.
