Great article. I think this quote is the stand out point for me.

“Real-time is difficult, and precisely because it is so challenging to do real-time well, and safely, the market will reward those who invest in making the “here and now” a priority.”

As you suggest it is not easy to do, particularly in an enterprise environment. So those who focus on helping users to get real-time access to enterprise data will become leaders in the social business market.
