The rights in question are live UK broadcast rights for the 2013 season. US broadcast rights – currently held by Fox and ESPN until 2014 – do not come up for renegotiation until after the 2013 season.

That said, I would ditch my Seagate STB in a flat second if Apple gained EPL broadcast rights. Or, for that matter, Bundesliga or Serie A rights …
