I think the most important issues for devs are to get visibility for their apps in the market and the payment options. I now have started using SmartAppFinder (http://www.smartappfinder.com) to distribute my apps as they have a strict evaluation process there and the platform is not so crowded with crappy apps like Amazon or the Google Android Market, so I get more visibility and downloads for my app.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, it would be good to have a more comprehensive comparison. Flurry also looked at “top apps” and did a one-to-one revenue comparison of the same apps on both iOS and Android and found the difference was 3:1 in favor of iOS. Again, it’s not comprehensive and there could be differences with smaller apps. But these are the numbers we’re getting. If we have more data, we’ll report on that too.

I agree with you…but from all the news I’ve seen so far is that gigaom reviewers are highly biased toward apple products. But anyway its life, I have both devices…and Android surpases my iPad in all areas…although marketting wise apple can sell you junk wrapped in a packet…
