From the outside iZettle is a clone of Square, but under the hood they have had to build an entirely different technology to support payments in Europe with chip &amp; PIN rather than magnetic strip. 

Doing that is not easy, and it&#039;s something that Square has shown little interest in (their current position is that they &quot;are beginning to look into other markets [but] there is not specific timeline for international availability&quot;. This, despite $168 million in funding.)

So if iZettle helps break open the market where Square&#039;s not interested and brings payment alternatives to customers elsewhere, then...]]></description>
