Actually most people don’t care about the Occupy movement…a tiny percentage of the population is protesting…individual voices are not powerful unless they are channeled through major media owned by
mega-corps…there’s no way around that…even Ghandi and MLK accepted that.

YouTube doesn’t even need new A List content to compete with cable and networks. The mainstream media is orchestrating their own demise by their own corporate greed. A perfect example is by ignoring the Occupy Movement. By ignoring the Occupy Movement, people automatically see mainstream media as illegitimate and get daily updates directly from the Occupy channels. Resistance is futile! The mainstream media is screwed if they cover Occupy and they are screwed if they don’t!

Individual voices are now more powerful than the Mega Corporations. This is a nightmare for the Mega Corporations plan for further consolidating power and the media. If YouTube begins censoring it’s content under pressure of corporations, it too will lose to another platform like MySpace lost everything to Facebook.

Good! This is something (producing original high-quality content) I’ve been saying that Google (YouTube’s owner) has needed to do for a long time. BUT these little shows won’t do the trick. They won’t cause the shift to Internet TV. For that to happen, Google needs to get the exclusive rights to the NFL and/or the NBA. Only through acquiring those can YouTube really challenge broadcast and cable TV. Only through those will adult men across the country finally hook up their TV to the Internet. There is no way around this. Nothing else will do. Now let us see when Google does this. I will give them credit that they know they have had to do this since Day One so my question is WHEN they will make this move.
