I phone 4s only 2 days old!! Went through 100% battery usage on standby in only 7 hours!! WTF. Help

battery life sapped every day no matter how much or how little I use phone. I’m not a techie and don’t use much data and don’t spend much time talking on the phone. As I learn more about using all the very cool apps I get more frustrated because I will have to curtail usage to conserve battery power. I think I was dumb to buy this “smart” phone!

I have the same problem. Battery running hot while using safari over 3G connection. After disabling time zone update I can now run for 8 hours on a full charge.

i took my phone off the charger at 5:30am today,it was at 100%. I haven’t used it at all. I checked it at 9:45 am and i was at 53%. Siri is turned off. My wife has the Iphone 4 and she uses it all day long and only has to charge it once a day. This is terrible

This is my first iPhone and very disappointed with the battery usage issues . Yes my battery dies fast. I’m just an average user I have to charge it everyday

I got the iphone 4S 32 GB and replaced the first as it was getting hot, now the second one also runs warm when talking, looks like some issue with their battery.

I charge my iPhone 4S every night, but it loses battery power quickly. Today, I had a full charge less than ten hours ago and now it’s down to less than 30 percent. I’m also have major issues with email, too. Having major regrets at switching from Blackberry to iPhone for this!

i had the problem w/ the battery going dead way too fast but after speaking with a ATT rep, i believe i have it under control. When you use the different apps, unless you close out of them they continue to run and that is what was wearing my battery down. I make sure to close all apps completely and I also make sure to turn off Cellular Data unless i need to use it. It’s a pain to do that stuff but it saves my battery for sure! Hope that helps!

This is my first iPhone (4S version) but 3 Apple consumer purchase. None of my other devices run out of battery juice quite like this. I have waited a long time for my iphone and am disappointed with how quickly it runs out of battery juice. Please tell me this will get better.
