I can’t speak for Datafiniti’s claim (if it ever made it), but I can tell you that it’s different from everything you mentioned and, I believe, Factual is a customer. It crawls the web for structured data and delivers the results after a SQL query, but it doesn’t produce whole data sets.

Besides our data search engine, zanran.com, there are services from factual.com, junar.com, infochimps.com…
But then perhaps ‘second datasearch engine out of Austin, Texas’ sounds a little weak.
