This is great! I have a great resource for anyone looking to delve into iOS apps specifically. This webinar recording will give anyone the push they need to get started developing Apps for iPhone & iPad their your organization or App Store: http://bit.ly/oqFtH5

Also just an FYI--anyone looking to build in-house mobile apps on iOS devices has to enroll in Apple's iOS Developer Enterprise Program: http://bit.ly/ogjWTT

I really like the article but strongly disagree with #1. Here is what I have to say for each one of them.

1. Hybrid solution does not work for 90% of the apps. This solution is chosen by people who does not really know mobile technology and are more comfortable with web or simply likes shortcuts and end up paying later on. Look at AT&T who bought Plusmo for 60 million dollars and within a year they had to dump it. Hybrid solution is also not long lasting, you have extreme development pains and unbearable growing pains.

2. This is a very good advice.

3. Prototyping is good but what happens at most companies that they take the prototype code and try to turn it into production code - BIG MISTAKE.

4. Sounds good but expensive. Must be some cheap labor sitting on the other side of the world.

5. Cool, lets look for those non-existing "creative" product designers and lets not product be run by marketing or executives who only see $$$ and not innovation.

6. Same as my opinion to #5.
