Forget the heated discussions over Carol Bartz’s graceless e-mail in response to a graceless firing by phone. A whole new round is about to kick in with a no-shunt exit interview. Bartz tells Fortune’s Pattie Sellers:

“These people f*cked me over … The board was so spooked by being cast as the worst board in the country. Now they’re trying to show that they’re not the doofuses that they are.”

Bartz also told Sellers she’s still on the Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) board and plans to stay there. The firing-by-phone took place the night before she was to be interviewed at an investors conference in New York. As Roy Bostock, the chairman of the board, read through what sounded to her like lawyered talking points, she says she told him, “‘Roy, I think that’s a script. Why don’t you have the balls to tell me yourself?” More from Bartz in the interview.

By the way, she says the call took place a little after 6 p.m. et and she was given two hours to decide whether she would resign or be fired. Kara Swisher broke the news within the hour.

  1. If you’re given two hours to decide whether to resign or be fired, you’ve already been fired.
