The coating is Cerakote, an industrial grade ceramic-based coating used for military purposes. Suffice to say, it can handle any civilian lifestyle. Probaby not, but I hope it is at least PVD and not just some cheesy coating.

I guess it matters not, as the black version is not the production one? Just the sand blasted aluminum is actually available?
