Here here! I second that comment Pedro. Yes, both Apps allow for photo sharing from your phone, but they habe quite different approaches. If I was to compare Photovine to something similar I'd point to Flickr Groups. Although without the level of administrator control. As an iphone photo nut, I can see myself continuing to happily use both services.

As an aside, Flickr trumps them both in the areas of photo organization, storage and sharing on other web sites. Though it's still a very PC-centric interface.

Looks to me like Photovine and Instagram are two very different photo apps, with different intended purposes. Instagram is about taking the most out of your phone's camera, while Photovine seems more adept to exploring photography thematically.

You failed to mention anything about the filter options for Photovine, which leaves me to believe they are unremarkable. I could really care less about the organization of the images. I want to look at all of them. Instagram does have a 'popular' screen for the hot images of the day. Also, with the second set of comparison images, the Instagram screen is much better viewing, larger image & cleaner. And, the cameras look the same with the exception of the turn-around-view option. Sorry, but I have to disagree. Based on what you've shown me, Instagram is better.

Thanks for the review!

When is Google going to do something other than rip off others?
