The telecoms industry is becoming more weird and poorly regulated. Services no more reflect the value of cost nowadays. Too bad the Regulator are on sabbatical.

$70/month ONLY if you bundle it with a landline AND cable tv which will run your total up to $110 minimum. That Internet plan alone is $85.

You did the right thing. And by the way, some of our mobile voice, text and data plans are awesome too. My American friends said AT&T charge them $3 per SMS when they were in Canada (without purchasing an additional travel plan). Telusmobility only charges me $0.65 when I’m in the US.

Your info on shaw is wrong, checkout their new plans. They are actually pretty awesome, 100 mb/s download speed with a 500GB cap for $70 a month. For only $30 a month you can get 50mb/s down with a 400GB cap… Thats really good, I doubt any cable providers in the US even have that.

Living in Ontario I kinda wish we had those kinds of speeds over here. I am paying $70 for ‘fibe’ internet from Bell for far slower speeds and download limits then Shaw customers get for $30…
