Earlier in my career I am not so sure I would have had the discipline to do so … reflecting in reverse the truth in TheCouchManager’s comment about entry level jobs typically needing more immediate supervision.

I think the numbers are just a natural reflection of who can work remotely as opposed to a bias against a more junior workforce. Entry-level jobs typically need more hand-holding by superiors which is a challenge to do remotely, but they do exist (think IT jobs).

But in most cases no company is going to pay you to work from home. They want you in the office where they can keep an eye on you.

I guess the only real way to work from home would be if you could work for yourself.
