I’d add iSMEStorage to this list. As well as enabling me to sync Google Docs directories to my iPad and iPhone it also enabled me to edit my Google Docs files using Apple iWork.

I like Byline better on my iPhone. I also use Flipboard on the iPad to read articles I mark to read later. I may stop using Instapaper in favor of Flipboard in fact.

I too am surprised how Reeder keeps getting onto these lists – I tried it, used it for a month or so while waiting for an iPad version of Byline. Nothing beats Byline as a Google reader app, as far as I’m concerned. It has an unfussy layout, is intuitive to use and uses standard UI elements. It’s number 1 feature is the ability to cache full articles for offline reading when the RSS feed only offers a snippet of the full article.

I find it fascinating how apps like Reeder consistently make it into these sorts of articles and lists despite there having been prior art for some time. I’ve been using NewsRack for quite some time on iOS and OS X. Pretty much, it’s the same as Reeder on OS X. Talk about hearts and minds.
