I do very little driving these days, but every time I do I see people on their cell and some even texting.

Makes m wonder what they will be doing in another 5 years with this technology in their cars.

With regard to “teaching people to respond in a productive manner to the flashing lights and loud noise,” that’s not really an issue. We’ve had Collision Warning with Brake Assist in place since 2009, which includes an audio alarm and warning light.
