Description Fusion-IO is one of the companies riding the solid state drive trend to success. The company has a board that offers more reliable flash memory inside servers and is already used by HP in their gear and by Facebook in its data center.
GigaOM’s Take SSDs are faster, but more expensive than traditional hard drives. They also aren’t as reliable for enterprise use — something Fusion-IO is trying to change. It has also filed to go public, and could test the public market’s appetite for infrastructure stocks.
