Very nice. But very annoying! I just bought a Seagate 1Tb GoFlex for hauling movies around for road trips with the kid. I love it but this feature set would have made me infatuated with it! Ah well, maybe they'll sell an accessory kit.

I must say, it would be nice if Apple slapped a 256 on the back of an iPhone or iPod Touch and called it a pro! Even a 200 gig hard disk as a replacement for the aging iPod Classic… I doubt something like this would make it in my bag long term.

This looks like a good device for families with kid cineastes but Hyperdrive, though not strictly a server but wired and can only play one movie at a time, lets you back up photos via an SD slot without the need for a laptop. As far as I can see, there's no way for the GoFlex to import photos without a laptop. An SD slot that would let it double as a backup device would kill two birds with one stone but I can see how the dual functions might not be a good fit.
