Ticketfly, one of several startups trying to challenge Ticketmaster’s dominance of the ticket industry, has raised $12 million in a new funding round. The company powers online ticketing for “hundreds” of venues across the U.S., providing them with web-based ticketing software, as well as website-building and social marketing tools.

The new funding round, which was led by Mohr Davidow Ventures, brings the startup’s total backing to $15 million. High Peaks Venture Partners and Contour Venture Partners also participated.

TechCrunch notes that Ticketfly founders Dan Teree and Andrew Dreskin sold their previous ticketing startup, TicketWeb, to Ticketmaster in 2000. There are some more details in the release.
