Addition to the last one ... encourage all employees to study another language. There are lots of good books out there about adjusting to and living in other cultures. Get a few copies of those and have your US based staff read them and hold some group discussions - preferably moderated by someone who is familiar with the target culture.

In hiring, give preference to people who have other language proficiency, who have studied or seriously traveled abroad (visiting a beer-filled beach resort doesn't count), and in other ways show openness to other cultures.
