I think Twitter has become a fundamental part of the internet, more like a service than as a product. Would anybody pay money to use Digg? Probably no. Same for Twitter. Only time will tell if my perspectives are right.

When I first read “Thunder Lizard” in the title I thought he was calling Twitter a dinosaur(ie Terrible Lizard). I thought that was a more appropriate metaphor.
