But given the substantial improvements in the iPad 2, I’m not sure a $100 price cut is enough for all but the most financially strained customers. Buy it, and you’re trading about a year less useful life for a $2/week savings.

I am sure we will see one in the future. Xoom is just not it. I have played with Xoom, and it is clearly not ready for prime-time. People do complain about iPad not having Flash. Guess what? Flash is not a big deal. Not a deal break by any means… But hey. Try Xoom for $799 and see how you like it. Motorola got the price awfully wrong.
