However, we at www.theVCwire.com think that the average size of a seed investment too has gone down. We constantly see $100-250k seed funding to companies these days. By the same comparison, in 2005 - the average seed investment was $350-500k. 

So, while the total funding at seed stage has remained the same, more number of startups are getting funded.
