How much of a break-out hit is LivingSocial’s daily deal of $10 for a $20 Amazon.com gift certificate? In 2010, LivingSocial’s most popular daily deal — $30 for $60 worth of wine on Wine.com — was sold 14,366 times. By contrast, the Amazon.com (NSDQ: AMZN) deal had been purchased more than 900,000 times as of 3 p.m. PT. The comparison, though, is not exactly apples-to-apples because the Wine.com deal was offered in select LivingSocial markets, while the Amazon.com deal is being marketed in all of them. Read on for LivingSocial’s biggest local deals of 2010:

1. $30 for $60 worth of wine from Wine.com in multiple markets (14,366)

2. $20 for $40 of food at Sweetgreen in D.C. (10,406)

3. Discounted tickets for the Hudson Holiday winter spectacular in Denver (9,314)

4. $5 for Little Fockers tickets on Fandango in Los Angeles (8,944)

5. $6 for $12 of food at Mendocino Farms in Los Angeles (7,172)

  1. They just hit one million sold and still counting! This deal is exactly what social marketing is all about and it’s a great win for both Amazon and LivingSocial. Go big or go home! I started a site to track all of the Groupon clone sites that are springing up…. I’ve got 130 group buying sites so far and you can sort to see which have offers for your city. If you know of any I’m missing, please submit them through my site. http://www.localdealsites.com/
