In this age of smartphones with big touch screens, it doesn’t seem possible that an old-school flip phone would garner much interest, but that’s not the case with the new BlackBerry Style. The flip format is what’s getting so much attention for the Style, due to two displays. The external display shows all messaging at a glance, and the internal display is a nice screen for the BlackBerry 6 operating system.

  1. Nice video JK. You got a classy looking phone there, but it seems painful to use without a touch screen, also, the OS looks outdated compared to the competition.

    1. Thanks. It’s important to remember that few BlackBerrys have touch screens, and users are very proficient at operating them without. It’s possible to assign a task shortcut to every key on the keyboard, and many Crackberries can execute a task with one button tap. It’s all about what you’re used to.

  2. BB OS 6 or any BB OS is going to be the achilles heel of any BB purchase. Sure the keyboard is always great, but other than that, especially with the Style, everything else SUCKS. Still dry personal email account support via BIS for Gmail and still using last decade’s CPUs. It’s 2010. Let’s see RIM acti like it believes phones should last into the future, not rehash what its done in the past.
