Probably not, but Logitech is getting a buzz burst from a new ad campaign featuring the star. Kevin Bacon plays his own biggest fan as a Logitech Revue user tracking down his hero via Google (NSDQ: GOOG) TV. Luckily for him, playing this version of Six Degrees doesn’t require access to programming from NBC (NYSE: GE), ABC (NYSE: DIS), Fox or CBS (NYSE: CBS).

Then again, Bacon is married to Kyra Sedgwick, who starts in The Closer for TBS — one of the few networks that does have a deal with Google TV.

The tagline — “If you can think it, you can watch it” — may need a little work as long as Google TV faces so many limits.

Here’s the new ad and, below it, a bonus piece of Bacon that may speak to the execs at Google, Logitech, Sony (NYSE: SNE) and Dish as they push through a critical holiday season for the new platform and its companion hardware.

  1. The TV ad was just a little crazy, but it did make me laugh! I too have used the Logitech Revue with Google TV to search for info while watching TV. I am a customer and employee of DISH Network and can say that when the Logitech was integrated to my satellite receiver, it took TV watching to a whole new level! Thanks Logitech and Google!
