For all the scepticals, This isn’t a netbook! Netbooks have Atom processors, shitty graphics and 5400rpm hard drives. This has a Core 2 Duo, solid state device, instant on OS, even higher resolution screen than a netbook, full size keyboard (instead of the shrunken ones found on netbooks) a better webcam, much better battery life and an incredibly portable and rugged enclosure.

Unfortunely, even the price is not like a netbook 1194$ for the 11.6′ 128GB on http://amzn.to/bfYQ1L is the cheapest I’ve found.
This is definitely not like any of the netbooks on the market today.

2GB on a high end laptop?

lots of bargain bottom end models have 3 or 4 GB as standard these days, or at the least can be cheaply upgraded to 4GB.

Apple is all set to stream the “Back to Mac” event Live for everyone today. The only catch? You need to have a Mac or iOS device

Here is what the release reads:

Apple® will broadcast its October 20 event online using Apple’s industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards. Viewing requires either a Mac® running Safari® on Mac OS® X version 10.6 Snow Leopard®, an iPhone® or iPod touch® running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad™. The live broadcast will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT on October 20, 2010 on the apple website
