This is such a great idea. I am going to buy a web-connected TV for this feature. I can't wait to fling stuff onto my TV for my parents to watch.

This is quite exciting. I bought my TV just back in March and really couldn't understand why my Samsung TV with the ethernet cable is so not integrated with the internet and with limited options in terms of applications.
Can't wait to see how this integration and standardization going to play in 2011. There is definitely a great opportunity and trend here, not surprise that Ashwin's come back is something BIG. Looking forward to follow what's coming next.

I really enjoyed working on this project with Ash and the team, thanks guys ! I believe it is going to open up many new possibilities in how we interact with media we like and the devices we own. I can definitely see "Fling" being capable of much more than just sending a video to my tv from a mobile device or browser. Being able to fling entire seasons of a show or a favorites list from YouTube would be amazing... I can't wait to see what kinds of ideas other developers come up with using this OS platform.

I checked out the site flingo.org and flung the video to my Vizio TV. I like how it works in any browser. It even worked from my iphone without any installation or anything.

I was going to buy a Panasonic Viera, but I think Ill give Vizio a try. Very innovative, but I am not surprised being that it is coming from Mr. Navin. I am excited to use the technology. I think its a great concept and would be quite useful. I have a 6 year old who already knows how to search YouTube as proficiently as I do, so I can see this technology being valuable to many. Congrats!

Figures Ashwin would be ahead of the connected TV industry. Too bad TVs will never let BitTorrent clients in but I'm excited to see what content Flingo will bring to my Vizio. We're surely destined to see IPTV take over cable much like cable eliminated broadcast...only this switch will happen in a tenth of the time. Good luck, Ashwin. Can't wait to see your apps.
