ZeniMax Media, the video game publisher behind titles including Doom and Fallout, has raised a huge $150 million round. The cash comes from Providence Equity Partners, which had already put $300 million into the company three years ago.

Since then, ZeniMax, which also has a massively mulitplayer online game business, has made several large acquisitions, including buying up id Software, the studio behind games like Doom, Quake, and Wolfenstein, and Arkane Studios. The company says it will use the new funding in part to pay for additional acquisitions.
