Today is Mobilize day at camp GigaOM, and hundreds of industry insiders are gathering at the Mission Bay Conference Center to discuss where the mobile web is going. Our Mobilize 2010 conference is starting at 8:00 a.m., and the schedule lists OLPC Founder and Chairman Nicholas Negroponte, Nokia EVP Tero Ojanperä, ThingM CEO Mike Kuniavsky, and Openwave CEO Ken Denman, among other.

Some of the topics of today’s event include mobile payments, tablet computers and their role in education as well as the eternal question: What’s better, mobile apps or the mobile web?

Sadly, I won’t be able to make it, but I’ll definitely tune into the Mobilize 2010 Live Stream. Each and every keynote session, presentation and fireside chat will be available in real time, for free, right on GigaOM.com and via the video embed below.

Missed a session or two? No worries; our fearless band of live bloggers (including NewTeeVee’s own Ryan Lawler) will bring you up to speed.
