Google is not selling phones directly to consumers since canceling the Nexus One, but it is showcasing many of the Android phones available in the U. S. through the new Google Phone Gallery. The site gathers information about the top Android phones and presents it in a way that is easy to digest, typical for Google.

All the phones in the Gallery are presented with full specifications, and different handsets can be compared side-by-side. Viewers can see at a glance which carrier is handling a given phone, and a single button click sends interested parties to the proper carrier’s site to purchase the phone.

  1. On the surface this seems dastardly and dirty and simple stinks to the Goooogle high heavens. Steve will have none of this showboating and hopefully will get a SF court C&D or injunctive relief as this is a slap in the face of the Apple who only sells ONE PHONE. How dare these flamboyant google meisters and publicity whores do such a thing. This just will not do. We need a level playing field here not one tiny thin lonely iPhone against a massive guerrilla army of Android fanatics trying to take over the mobile world and establish a new phone order. Steve will have none of this and looks forward to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to summarily spank Google naked and hide their clothes!
