If Logistep operates from within Switzerland, then it doesn’t matter which IP addresses they collect… laws don’t just protect a country’s citizens, otherwise it would be perfectly legal to rob tourists :)

I may be wrong but as Logistep won’t know the nationality of the user until after they have collected and analysed the IPs, I believe that they would have to stop altogether from operating in Switzerland as they may inadvertently be breaking Swiss law.

You mean “All of this means that Logistep can’t collect them FROM SWISS USERS without the authorization of the persons affected by it.” The Swiss court can’t rule on what happens outside Switzerland.
