I’m 11 and I have an iPhone 4, an iPad and an iPod touch. Neither of my friends have a phone that’s a cheap nokia model. They have blackberrys, iPhones or a phone that s at least $500. At both locations i consistently get 0 or 1 bars. While iPhone 4 does not offer better reception than my 3GS did, I spent about an hour walking around my house trying to reproduce the “death grip” to no avail. And I am lefty too!

So i file this away as a non-issue. At least for me :)
