Is there any word on updating previous generations of Ford Sync with any of these features? I bought the 2010 Ford Fusion and would love to see some legacy love.

Sanjay, I can’t say for sure as I haven’t tested the new MyFord Touch – maybe I’ll get a loaner car for review? – but the voice recognition is powered by Nuance, the same folks that power the new T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide and the new Droid X. My experience with the Nuance voice products there either rival or exceed their competitors, so I have high hopes for Ford SYNC.

Great to see Ford increase its voice platoform to make commands easier.
I have yet to see voice controlr technology which is precise and bang on and wondering if Ford’s sync program is very precise.
My dad has a Lexus and we find the voice command not up to par and simple command suchs as “phone” not clearly understood by the system. I have always been very skeptical on voice command being very precise and if Ford has it then that is great.
