Perfecto Mobile

Vodafone’s venture capital arm is making a “strategic” investment in Perfecto Mobile, an Israeli startup that lets companies test their mobile apps and services on mobile devices over the internet. Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) has been a Perfecto customer since last February, when it chose the company to provide an “online environment” where its partners could access pre-launch Vodafone handsets for testing.

The investment comes ten months after Perfecto — which was known until a year ago as Nexperience — raised $7 million in a second round of funding from Carmel Ventures and Vertex Venture Capital. Pefecto says it will use the latest cash to expand its service “to more handsets, more geographies, and more networks.” Specifically, it says it plans to expand into Asia, Africa and Latin America “soon.” The offical announcement is expected tomorrow.
