My Damn Channel Boxee

A big coup for Boxee fans who enjoy the web comedy originals: Today My Damn Channel is launching a custom app for the software, allowing users easy access to the full library of MDC content.

That library, just as a reminder, includes classic web content like You Suck at Photoshop, Illeana Douglas’s Easy to Assemble, the recently launched Celebrity Autobiography, Harry Shearer’s video experiments and recent Streamy winner Wainy Days. To coincide with the app’s launch comes a new episode of Days, embedded below. The series created by David Wain has racked up over 15 million views over the 36 episodes since its launch.

This is just the latest service added to Boxee’s functionality, increasing the diversity of its content. The service connecting TV to web content may also be developing apps for mobile and tablet devices, including the iPad. Given that web content is increasingly being watched on the TV, Boxee’s efforts to streamline the process may be the right move.
