I tried Threadsy when it was in beta and was immediately overwhelmed. Instead of giving me less to look at, it gave me more.

Even with Threadsy, I still ended up having to go to all the same places it tries to bring in, so Threadsy became one more place for me to have to check.

I'll stick with some killer filters on my email putting all the Facebook, Twitter notifications, etc into just one folder I can go through at the end of the day when I have some time.

In addition, the idea that someone has my account information and auto subscribes me to them, kinda weirds me out.

Give another (barely known) company access to ALL OF your most private data!
Even with OAuth, they still have access, they just don’t know your password.

Great video interview. This looks like a good product for those really into the social stream of information. Their more agnostic approach seems much better. By not trying to tie you into one communication tool set (gmail, facbook, etc.) they seem to be able to give you everything in one spot. Others have done a horrible job at tying in all your communications. These guys seem to have thought a bit about it.

It looked interesting. It's a shame that signing up forces you to follow them on Twitter without even asking.

I personally decided to delete everything out of my account rather than worry about them monkeying around with my accounts further.
