Gannett (NYSE: GCI) Chief Digital Officer Christopher Saridakis is leaving the company at the end of the month “to pursue other interests,” according to an SEC filing just filed. We had heard earlier this week that Saridakis was resigning to join another company, but Gannett declined to comment yesterday and sources at the company said there was nothing going on with that position. Saridakis took the chief digital job at Gannett two years ago after serving for several years as CEO of Gannett rich media unit PointRoll.
David adds: There was a great deal of speculation about whether Saridakis would leave since it was unclear whether he would make his $4 million bonus target. The bonus was tied to digital revenue objectives when he was brought over from his role at PointRoll.
