Is it ironic that this mock-up of MacWorld magazine doesn’t yet use Apple’s tablet to do much other than repurpose the magazine’s paper edition?

The e-edition software vendor says it’s publications are “fully optimised for touchscreen monitors” – but tablets are far more than touschreen monitors.

We’re witnessing a tension between, on the one hand, services that let magazines publish the same version to many different permutations of devices and, on the other hand, editions that take full advantage of individual gadgets.
