I like the clean bevel but amen to the need for 2gb of ram.

My biggest dislike is the lack of any palm rejection. I could ignore everything else, but I need to be able to 'ink'.

The touch is not as light as capacitive but not hard to do. There is sometimes a slight lag when zooming a web page, for example, but then the screen zooms OK.

Regarding the lack of bezel controls: is it not possible to control rotation and other functions using the Win7 gestures? I saw jkk doing this with the Hanvon BC10C. http://jkkmobile.blogspot.com/2010/03/hanvon-touchpad-bc10c-tablet-review.html

James how is the multi-touch with resisitve screen? Is it easy to just do multi-touch or is it like you need to press hard? I know that on a capacitve screen its farely easy.

None of viliv’s computers have upgradeable memory. If you go watch Chippy’s show comparison of three convertible netbooks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4z6qYwlLErA), it’s pretty obvious why it isn’t upgradeable–there’s no space to put a memory module. (Go to minute 13 to see the underside of the S10). What they should have done is offer 2 GB as an option.

Something just occurred to me, maybe viliv is milking a single motherboard design since the S5, so they can’t offer 2 GB without doing a significant redesign. The basic specifications of the core computing platform has hardly changed since the S5, and a motherboard to fit in the space shown in Chippy’s video would be just about right for the S5 as well…

Wow, not able to upgrade to 2GB memory? That is very FRUSTRATING.

Viliv is not listening to it's customers. In this age of Twitter, Facebook, and sites like this one there's really no excuse.

Or they are trying to dictate to the customer what they should be doing, either way it's a fatal mistake, a pity.
