London-based Bragster, a site for people to make bets with each other on various “stunts”, has been acquired by Guinness World Records, for an undisclosed sum. The site allows users to upload videos of their dares and “bragging” feats. It was founded in 2006, and raised about $3 million in 2008 from *Intel* Capital.

This is GWR’s first online acquisition as it tries to stay relevant and establish a a digital presence. GWR is also based in London, will keep Bragster separate for now but plans to eventually integrate the two with lots of social features (and GWR’s own site will be relaunched in a few months), it says. GWR is part of the Jim Pattison Group, one of Canada
