I just started an errand running company in New Zealand. To give you a bit of a background; Running errands is a totally new concept on this side of the world… I just want some advise as in NZ as the whole concept of running errands is not known in NZ at all and I seem to educate forever and ever before people want to buy into the concept. I just started in August of last year and it is going ok but I have some issues with educating our target market about the concept.

I heard that in the US errand running is the second biggest industry. I just have a couple of questions I need to have some answers to:

  1. How did you start and how did you convince people that you service was of any use?
  2. How did you advertise yourseld in the first 6 months?
  3. Who are your main clients and what are their main errands?
  4. Where do you spend your advertisement dollar these days?
  5. What sort of businesses are your main clients and why?

I really hope you could give me an answer on all of those questions as i realy think we could grow this industry in New Zealand. Thank you so much for reading this email and I hope to pay you back in one way or another. Remember; goes around, comes around….

I am a full time freelancer web developer. I outsource any projects that demand quicker deliveries than I can manage on my own. So, I assign them to other cheaper resources. This makes me a passive income for a minimal effort. I think outsourcing is a great concept.
