The crazy thing is it makes the most sense–I see tablets, slates, whatever-they’re-called-this-week as being more akin to computers, not phones. All of the concepts I’ve seen look like giant iPhones, and I’ve even heard a grip or two (or 57,000…) complaints that there’s no point in buying a giant iPhone/iPod Touch. However, the purported “iSlate” has stronger familial ties with Apple’s computer line, and Macs (except for the MacBook, Mac Mini) are all silver and black. It thus makes perfect sense for it to have an aluminum encasing.

I think I’m actually excited to actually see the thing for the first time, lol. I was growing too accustomed to seeing concepts and the lackluster designs at CES.

More like a damp foggy day if you ask me. As usual, they just don’t get it. No wonder a field of computing that has been around for nearly a decade is still floundering. Wake me up when they figure it out.

Thankfully, Apple will show them how it’s done……. again.
