One of the most important in my view has been support of x64. As ARM begins to eat their lunch in the “netbook” category Intel my relent and start releasing x64 enabled Atom CPU’s to beat back the ARM chips. As many folks have noticed the Safari browser running x64 on the Macintosh platform is significantly faster than when running x86.

So far Google’s Chrome won’t compile x64 so I haven’t been able to experiment with it on my Mac but I suspect that when they get it 64 bit clean it will also benefit.
