Awesome, so I can surf the web for what will likely be an extortionate price because the video screens don't work (again), the air vents aren't working, the bathroom is broken and the only food available are stale Subway sandwiches for 3 times the normal price.

But of course, this is what will finally turn the airline around! Congrats fellas, we'll be proud to bail you out again in 2010.

While I'm happy to see Air Canada testing an in-flight Wifi service, a two-tier pricing strategy seems somewhat archaic. They also appear to be the only airline providing Aircell that adopted that model. I tend to use my Netbook on the plane -- does that make me a laptop a "smaller device" which qualifies me for the lower rate.

Air Canada seems to thrive on complexity.
